Event Description

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 17!

Come join a broad coalition of organizations and individuals who are engaged in a campaign at the Texas Legislature to dramatically increase funding for affordable housing for low-income families.
The Texas Housing Trust Fund Campaign is calling on the legislature to invest in the Housing Trust Fund, with a goal of $40 million per year.
The Housing Trust Fund makes up the state's only funding for affordable homes, and currently receives just $5 million per year.
The Trust Fund can be used for a myriad of crucial programs, including single-family and multi-family home construction, shelter services, supportive housing, and housing for populations with unique needs such as victims of domestic violence, veterans and people with disabilities.
On March 17, the Housing Trust Fund Campaign is coming together to lobby members of the Texas Legislature to support long-term, sustainable funding for the Housing Trust Fund.

Housing Texas is coordinating with the Texas Association of Community Development Corporations (TACDC) on this one-day effort to raise our voices in support of affordable housing for low-income Texas families.
