Join graduates from KIPP Austin College Prep, as they promote community activism this Wednesday at Space12. The goal of the night is to educate and activate the community through a screening of the short, bilingual documentary, “Hutto: America’s Family Prison”.

The chainLINK series is a way to link community building energy in Austin into an open, ongoing conversation in multiple venues. Through events and projects focusing on face-to-face interaction and action, the chainLINK series cultivates new connections in the community--benefitting everyone involved.


chainLINK.1 Design Voice

Events

Real Community Ning is an online social network to get the word out, start conversations, and spark new actions in the Austin community.

Step One: Join as an individual.

Step Two: Go to GROUPS and join the ones you want to keep up with.

Step Three: Start a group for your own organization, practice, or neighborhood and use the events calendar, discussion boards, messaging, and photo and video albums to post info about your work.

Step Four: Call for volunteers, reach out to potential collaborators, and send network-wide invites to your own events.
